Responsibilities: Overall responsibility for all library public services including Music, Engineering, Earth Science, Business, Math/Physics, Science, Art/Archetecture and Map libraries, as well as Interlibrary Loan, circulation and the Colorado Technical Reference Center (fee based business services); includes 30 FTE librarians, 45 FTE classified staff and $250K student wage budget; oversee music and media cataloging; assist in allocating and monitoring of $4M library materials budget; coordinate library automation operations.

1980 - 1986 — Position: Undergraduate Librarian/Assistant Director for Undergraduate Libraries and Instructional Services

Responsibilities: Responsibility for the Undergraduate Library, Library Media Center and Illini Union Browsing Room with a collection of 180,000 monographs, 380 current journals and 57,183 media volumes; including a staff of 7 FTE librarians, 3 FTE pre-professional staff and 17 FTE support staff; oversight of all media and UGL original monograph cataloging; allocated and monitored $150,000 library materials budget; allocated and monitored $76,000 student wage budget.

Status: Appointed with tenure (Assistant Professor); promoted to Associate Professor

Washington State University
1977 - 1980 — Position: Head, Central Circulation, Holland Library

Responsibilities: Holland Library circulation and stack maintenance, WSU Libraries payments desk, Copy Center, Central Reserve and Central Microform area, including 12 FTE staff and 75+ students; coordinated all WSU Libraries circulation units; led development and implementation of new online circulation system.

1972 - 1977 — Position: Social Science Reference Librarian

Responsibilities: Reference (10-15 hours/week Social Science reference including substantial work with government documents and Machine Readable Data Files); Collection Development (selection, weeding and departmental liaison in Sociology, Social Work, Alcoholism and Criminal Justice); Administration (Head, Social Science Circulation overseeing 4 FTE staff and 20+ students).

Status: Tenured, Associate Professor
